Amazing Fly Fishing for Barbel on the Dry Fly
Our local lakes offer a superb variety of fly fishing and surprisingly fantastic dry fishing for Barbel.
These Barbel are aggressive, they hunt crickets and fry along the margin, its awesome as they hit the dry fly so hard. Many of our experienced guests say its like fishing for´Bone fish´
We navigate around the lake by boats, no licences are required to drive, walk the banks and fish secluded bays. Without a doubt the best time for Dry Fly fishing for Barbel is April through to mid June.
We do not enforce start and finish times, we all know fishing can be more productive depending on time and weather. Guided days are around 8 - 10 hours, we are flexible depending on the fishing.
Due to being very busy during May and June we offer arrival / depart on Sundays, fishing Monday - Saturday ( 7 nights accommodation - 6 days fishing)
All options are available on a Guided boat or Self-Drive package, all licences, permits and accommodation are organised.
We recommend self drive boats for Barbel Fly fishing and will accompany you day 1 if required to show you the lake, best tactics and areas. The fishing is very easy when they are on the feed, amazing fast hits on the dry fly.
